Did you know sea turtle shells are made up of individual bony plates called scutes. All these scutes come together to form a shell called the carapace. We like to enrich Charlotte by shell brushing, which is a natural behavior that Charlotte seems to enjoy. They will find rocks or foliage to interact with to create that same sensation in the wild.
