First video of stocking lake 3 today, with approximately 1200 pounds of farm raised. Lakes Open at 8:00 am tomorrow. Fish ticket for fishing Lakes 1 and 2 is $20. Fishing Lake 3 is $30 to catch and keep a limit of 10, each fish weighing 7 pounds or less. 3 is going to be a different kind of fun tomorrow. Register at the Baithouse before fishing. | Sky Lake

East Metro Fisheries stocked Cenaiko Lake in Coon Rapids Dam Regional Park with 2,000 yearling rainbow trout (11-13 inchers) and Holland Lake in Lebanon Hills Regional Park Reserve in Eagan with 1,000 yearling rainbow trout (12-14 inchers). Both lakes got 100 bonus adult rainbow trout for the trophy hunters (3-7 pounders). Muskellunge, or muskie, are one of the largest fish in Minnesota waters. The current state record is a whopping 58 1/4 inch muskie caught on Lake Mille Lacs in 2022! But these fish start small, and every year DNR staff rears 25,000-30,000 muskies to stock Minnesota lakes. While some lakes rely on natural reproduction, with the growing popularity of muskie angling, supplemental stocking helps keep muskie populations healthy and angling opportunities plentiful.
