String trellising cucumbers is very easy. Just clip or tie a string around the base of the plant and let it grow up. The cucumber will grab onto the string with tendrils, but it’ll sometimes try to grab nearby strings or plants, so we like to wrap it around the string once a week to keep it totally straight.
